Ayia Napa Holidays
Escape the Dreary Weather

If a person is weary from never ending winter weather and rain elsewhere in the world, it is time to think of a very warm beach, great food, glorious weather, and just to get away from it all. Whether it is a short break or a two week long holiday, think of Ayia Napa holidays.

Where is Ayia Napa? It's tucked away in southeast Cyprus, about 5 miles from Protaras. This little fishing village is famous for its award winning sandy beaches and is one of the holiday hot spots in Europe. In fact, this little fishing village has accommodated some of the most famous celebrities in the world, such as the Beckhams and a handful of famous singers and footballers.

Ayia Napa Holidays - Macronissos Beach in Ayia Napa

A young couple could come here and have a beautiful but simple wedding out on Harbour Beach, with a sunset wedding reception and dancing all night long. What's more, Nissi Beach Hotel weddings are very popular with couples these days. Ayia Napa is the perfect venue as couples can stroll along the countless golden beaches and unearth secluded coves, a real romantic hideaway.

If senior citizens want to revert to the quiet times and ponder over memories of old while on a budget, cheap holidays to Ayia Napa would be perfect. A person or a couple could walk cobbled streets in the old quarter and gaze at the old buildings. One building sure to capture anyone's attention is the Venetian Monastery that is still standing from the sixteenth century along with a marble fountain and a six hundred year old fig tree.

Grecian Bay and Nissi Bay Cyprus is perfect for families to spend quality time with the kids. The kids will learn about the Mediterranean and see the beautiful fish by snorkeling, scuba diving, and swimming with mum and dad in the clear clean water. The kids will spend hours building sandcastles, water skiing, and even have a picnic on the beach. Even mum or dad could go wind surfing. There is also Water World Water Park in Ayia Napa for the families along with mini golf, go-kart rides, and bowling.

Ayia Napa contains fourteen Blue Flag beaches which from West to East are Agia Thekla, Macronissos, Lanta, Nissi Bay, Nissi,Vathia Gonia (Sandy Bay), Pernera, Katsarki, Loukkos tou Manti, Pantachou, Glyki Nero, Ammos tou Kambouri, Kermia and Konnos Bay.

Besides the beaches and all the water fun, a person must eat. Holiday makers have been known to skip meals to save money or make sure the kids eat for free to stretch the budget. But cheap here, is not cheap food! It can be an authentic island dish like Moussaka, which is a type of veal stew, or try Loukomades, which are doughnuts dipped in types of syrup, which the kids will be sure to love. The kids can even have their favorite chicken nuggets or anything else they are familiar with eating.

Ayia Napa holidays is not all about the partying, it has much more to offer...
