1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using the Your Cyprus Holiday platform (“Platform”), available at yourcyprusholiday.com and any associated subdomains, you (“User”, “you”, or “your”) agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, you must discontinue use of the Platform immediately.
These Terms apply to all users of the Platform, including guests who browse and book accommodation (“Guests”) and property owners or managers who list accommodation (“Hosts”). Hosts are additionally subject to the Host Agreement, which forms part of these Terms.
2. Platform Description
Your Cyprus Holiday is an online marketplace that connects Guests seeking accommodation in Cyprus with Hosts who offer properties for short-term rental. The Platform operates as an intermediary and facilitator of bookings.
Your Cyprus Holiday is not an accommodation provider. We do not own, manage, or control any of the properties listed on the Platform. We do not act as an agent for either Guests or Hosts. The Platform provides technology services that enable Hosts to advertise their properties and Guests to discover and book them.
When a booking is confirmed through the Platform, the contractual relationship for the provision of accommodation is formed directly between the Guest and the Host. Your Cyprus Holiday is not a party to that contract.
3. User Accounts
To access certain features of the Platform, you may need to create an account. When creating an account, you agree to:
- Provide accurate, current, and complete information.
- Maintain and promptly update your account information to keep it accurate.
- Maintain the security and confidentiality of your login credentials.
- Accept responsibility for all activities that occur under your account.
- Notify us immediately of any unauthorised use of your account.
You must be at least 18 years of age to create an account or make a booking through the Platform. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or that we reasonably believe are being used fraudulently.
4. Bookings and Payments
4.1 Booking Process
When you make a booking through the Platform, you submit a request to the Host for accommodation at the listed price and for the specified dates. A booking is confirmed once payment has been successfully processed. Upon confirmation, a binding agreement is formed between the Guest and the Host.
4.2 Payment Processing
All payments are processed securely through Stripe, our third-party payment processor. Your Cyprus Holiday does not store your full credit or debit card details. By making a payment, you agree to Stripe's terms of service and privacy policy.
4.3 Commission Structure
Your Cyprus Holiday charges a commission of 5% per completed booking. This commission is deducted from the total booking amount before the remainder is transferred to the Host via Stripe Connect. There are no monthly subscription fees, setup costs, or hidden charges for Hosts.
4.4 Pricing
All prices displayed on the Platform are set by the Hosts and are shown in Euros (€). Prices include any applicable taxes unless otherwise stated by the Host. The total price, including any fees and taxes, is displayed before you confirm a booking.
5. Host Responsibilities
Hosts who list properties on the Platform are responsible for:
- Legal compliance: Ensuring their property is legally permitted for short-term rental, including obtaining all necessary licences, permits, and registrations required under Cyprus law. This includes, where applicable, registration with the Cyprus Tourism Organisation (CTO) and compliance with the Cyprus Tourism Law.
- Listing accuracy: Providing accurate, truthful, and up-to-date descriptions, photographs, pricing, and availability information for their property.
- Property standards: Maintaining their property in a clean, safe, and habitable condition that matches the listing description.
- Tax obligations: Complying with all applicable tax obligations, including VAT where applicable, and declaring income received through the Platform to the relevant tax authorities.
- Insurance: Maintaining adequate property and liability insurance coverage. Your Cyprus Holiday does not provide insurance of any kind for Hosts or their properties.
- Honouring bookings: Fulfilling confirmed bookings and providing the accommodation as described in the listing.

6. Guest Responsibilities
Guests who book accommodation through the Platform are responsible for:
- Providing accurate personal information when making a booking, including correct name, contact details, and the number of guests.
- Reading and understanding the property listing, including house rules, check-in and check-out times, and the applicable cancellation policy, before confirming a booking.
- Treating the property with care and respect, and leaving it in a reasonable condition upon departure.
- Complying with any house rules set by the Host, including noise restrictions, smoking policies, and pet policies.
- Reporting any issues with the property to the Host and, where relevant, to Your Cyprus Holiday as soon as reasonably practicable.
- Ensuring they have adequate travel insurance for their stay in Cyprus.
7. Platform Role and Limitations
Your Cyprus Holiday facilitates the connection between Guests and Hosts. In doing so, we:
- Provide a technology platform for listing and booking accommodation.
- Process payments securely through our payment partner, Stripe.
- Offer communication tools to facilitate interaction between Guests and Hosts.
However, Your Cyprus Holiday does not:
- Verify the accuracy, completeness, or quality of any listing, nor do we inspect properties.
- Guarantee the conduct, performance, or suitability of any Host or Guest.
- Act as a party to any agreement between Guests and Hosts.
- Provide insurance coverage of any kind for either Guests or Hosts.
- Assume responsibility for resolving disputes between Guests and Hosts, although we may offer assistance at our discretion.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law:
- Your Cyprus Holiday provides the Platform on an “as is” and “as available” basis, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied.
- Your Cyprus Holiday shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from or related to your use of the Platform, including but not limited to: the condition of any property; personal injury or property damage suffered during a stay; disputes between Guests and Hosts; loss of data, profits, or business opportunities; or any inability to access the Platform.
- Your Cyprus Holiday is not responsible for the acts or omissions of any Host, Guest, or third party, including Stripe.
- Your Cyprus Holiday does not provide liability insurance for Guests or Hosts. We strongly recommend that both parties maintain appropriate insurance coverage.
Nothing in these Terms shall exclude or limit liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.
9. Cancellation and Refunds
Cancellation and refund terms are determined by each Host's individual cancellation policy, which is displayed on the property listing and at the time of booking. It is the Guest's responsibility to review the applicable cancellation policy before confirming a booking.
Where a refund is due under the applicable cancellation policy, it will be processed to the original payment method. Processing times may vary depending on your bank or card issuer.

10. Intellectual Property
All content, design, graphics, logos, trademarks, and software on the Platform are the property of Your Cyprus Holiday or its licensors and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, create derivative works of, or otherwise exploit any content from the Platform without our prior written consent.
The “Your Cyprus Holiday” name, logo, and branding are trademarks of the Platform. Unauthorised use of these marks is prohibited.
11. User Content
Users may submit content to the Platform, including property descriptions, photographs, reviews, and ratings (“User Content”). By submitting User Content, you:
- Represent and warrant that you own or have the right to use and share the content, and that it does not infringe the rights of any third party.
- Grant Your Cyprus Holiday a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to use, display, reproduce, and distribute your User Content in connection with the operation of the Platform.
- Acknowledge that reviews and ratings reflect the personal opinion of the author and that Your Cyprus Holiday does not endorse or verify them.
We reserve the right to remove User Content that we consider to be unlawful, offensive, misleading, or in violation of these Terms.
12. Dispute Resolution
In the event of a dispute between a Guest and a Host, we encourage both parties to first attempt to resolve the matter directly with each other. If you are unable to reach a resolution, you may contact Your Cyprus Holiday, and we may, at our sole discretion, assist in mediating the dispute. However, we are not obligated to do so.
Any disputes arising from or relating to these Terms or your use of the Platform shall be resolved through the courts of the Republic of Cyprus. Before pursuing legal action, the parties are encouraged to attempt resolution through good-faith negotiation or mediation.
13. Governing Law
These Terms of Service are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Cyprus. Any disputes arising from or in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the Republic of Cyprus.
14. Modification of Terms
Your Cyprus Holiday reserves the right to modify these Terms at any time. When we make material changes, we will update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, notify users via email or through a notice on the Platform. Your continued use of the Platform after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.
